Abstract

We propose an uplink DCT based 4ASK-OFDM scheme for the next-generation PON to improve the spectrum efficiency.The SNR penalty of the proposed scheme is 1.8dB smaller than that of the conventional QPSK-OFDM system at FEC limit.
