Sensitivity Enhanced Strain Measurement Based on an FBG Sensor Assisted by Frequency Chirp Magnification

Abstract

We utilize frequency chirp magnification for enhancing the strain sensitivity of an FBG sensor. Ultra-highly sensitive strain measurement has been achieved with 5.40 pm/με strain sensitivity, which has been enhanced by a factor of five.
