Photonic Microwave Generation Using Microdisk Lasers Subject to Optical Injection

Abstract

Nonlinear dynamics and photonic microwave generation are investigated for a 7-μm-radius AlGaInAs-InP microdisk laser under optical injection. The photonic microwave around 20 GHz with a linewidth of 540 KHz is generated for the microdisk laser with optoelectronic feedback.
