Ultrasensitive temperature sensor based on whispering gallery mode resonance in bent coated optical fiber loop

Abstract

We demonstrated a simple ultrasensitive temperature sensor based on WGM resonance in a bent coated SMF loop. Temperature-dependent loss peaks were observed, and a maximum sensitivity of −4.81 nm/°C was achieved.
