Switching between fast- and slow-light via cascaded polarization coupling

Abstract

We demonstrate a scheme of manipulating the group velocity of light in electro-optic photonic crystals via cascaded polarization coupling. The observed switch between fast-and slow-light is due to the induced phase variation.
