Abstract

Analysis of optical spectra and luminescence decay curves with reference to host structural peculiarities revealed mechanisms involved in excitation and relaxation processes leading to the visible emission of Pr3+, Sm3+ and Dy3+ in Gd2SiO5 crystals.
