Q-Switched Operation of a fs-Laser Written Nd:YAG/Cr4+:YAG monolithic waveguide laser

Abstract

A Ti:Sapphire-pumped Q-switched waveguide laser was fabricated by fs-laser-writing of two parallel tracks in a bonded Nd:YAG/Cr4+:YAG-crystal. We achieved 1-ns-pulses with an average output power of 300 mW and 300 kHz repetition rate.
