Recent Progress on Photonic Crystal Slow Light Devices

Abstract

Photonic crystal devices achieved ps slow light pulses with a group index of 42, delay-bandwidth product of 57, and tuning range of 27 ps. Optical nonlinearities enhanced by the slow light effect were also observed.
