Signal Transfer between Two Beams using Photorefractive Crystal

Abstract

We propose a signal transferring device which makes use of self-pumped phase conjugation with a photorefractive BaTiO3 crystal. The device is able to transfer a signal pattern in a beam to the phase conjugate beam of a self-pumped conjugator. The contrast of the transferred pattern can be of the original contrast or of the opposite contrast of the original signal.
