Abstract

Mode-locked-like laser with 0.009 nm linewidth can be continuously tuned in the whole range of laser gain in a frequency-shifted feedback Ti:sapphire laser with an intracavity acousto optic tunable filter (AOTF). Peak power of the output at 300 mW pump level is comparable to those of commerical tunable picosecond Ti:sapphire lasers. Phase-locking of the laser has been observed with a Michelson interferometer.
