Abstract

30-mJ pulses at 289-nm are generated from a Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 {Ce:LiCAF} laser pumped by the fourth harmonics of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser owing to the large Ce:LiCAF crystal with 15 mm diameter grown by the Czochralski method, and the slope efficiency reaches 39%.
