High brightness eyesafe optical parametric oscillator using confocal unstable resonators

Abstract

The brightness of a 1.57 µm KTP optical parametric oscillator is measured using unstable resonators with different magnifications. Over 5x improvement in brightness is realized compared to a flat/flat cavity.
