Abstract

A nanosecond pulsed Optical Parametric Oscillator based Difference Frequency Generation IR-Laser source is implemented in a spectrometer for sensitive and selective trace gas analysis. Tuning ranges of 400 - 2000 nm for the OPO and of 2.5 to 4.5 µm using LiNbO3 as non-linear medium for the DFG source are achieved at a line width of 0.25 cm−1. Photoacoustic measurements in a novel multi-microphone gas cell enable the monitoring of gases at ppb concentration levels.
