A Tabletop Terahertz-Wave Parametric Generator Using a Diode-Pumped Solid-State Laser

Abstract

A terahertz-wave generator based on an optical parametric process has been realized in a tabletop-sized system using a specially designed, diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser. We obtained the broadest terahertz-wave spectrum (1.2-2.4 THz) yet recorded.
