Antireflective Surface Structures on IR Fibers for High Power Transmission

Abstract

We present results for increased transmission of ~99% through end faces of high index infrared fibers with novel anti-reflective surface structures. We demonstrate increased mid-infrared laser power handling capability for fibers with AR structured surfaces.
