Ti:Sapphire-laser pumped s-curve and straight fs-laser-written Yb(7%):YAG waveguide lasers are demonstrated. With slope efficiencies of 73% for straight and more than 60% for curved waveguide lasers the possibility of fs-laser-written complex optical devices is demonstrated.
