We report on laser operation in the visible spectral region of Pr,Mg:CaAl<sub>12</sub>O<sub>19</sub>. Output powers and slope efficiencies in excess of 300 mW and 25 % were achieved, respectively. In addition spectroscopic investigations will be presented.
