Transform-Limited Few-Cycle Pulse Source Based on a Nonlinear-Pulse-Shaping Self-Similar Fiber Amplifier

Abstract

A few-cycle pulse fiber laser system is proposed through direct nonlinear compression of ultrashort parabolic pulses from a nonlinear-pulse-shaping self-similar fiber amplifier. After recompression, 19-fs pulses can be generated with the transform-limited pulse quality.
