New method of energy control in passively Q-switched diode-end-pumped lasers

Abstract

Novel method of control the pulse energy due to pump area change was proposed. An energy change in range 0.15 – 0.5 mJ was demonstrated for passively Q-switched Yb:LuAG laser pumped by 20-W laser diode.
