High-power blue-light generation from a periodically polled MgO:LiNbO3 ridge-type waveguide by frequency doubling of a diode end-pumped Nd:YAG laser is reported. Continuous-wave power of 189 mW at 473 nm with 49% conversion efficiency was demonstrated. Under pumping by Ti:Sapphire laser 104 mW blue light with 48% conversion efficiency was obtained.
