Abstract

The Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA) approach allows the scaling of lasers to high powers while preserving the spatial and temporal coherence of the master oscillator. We demonstrate the scaling of a 20W Nd: YAG MOPA to the 100W level using end pumped and edge pumped slabs.
