Abstract

We analyzed noise, coherence and spectral-power-density properties of a 5.5W, CW Raman-soliton continuum with >300nm width around 1.3µm generated in a holey-fibre pumped by Yb-fibre source. The demonstrated source is ideal for high-resolution/sensitivity OCT imaging.
