Abstract

Passive Q-switching of diode-pumped 1.54mcm Er:glass laser with V3+:YAG crystal as a saturable absorber has been demonstrated. Slope efficiency of 10% and average output power of 30 mW with Q-switching efficiency of 37% were achieved.
