Timing jitter characterisation of a 1.04-µm passively mode-locked VECSEL at an actively stabilised repetition rate of 897 MHz

Abstract

We report a passively mode-locked VECSEL, locked to an external electronic oscillator at a repetition rate of 897 MHz, with timing jitter measured to be 160(30) fs over the bandwidth 1 kHz to 15 MHz.
