Abstract

We considered the emission properties of TR3+-doped KPb2Cl5 crystals under different ways of impurity ion excitation: direct excitation of TR 4fn-configuration levels via ground state absorption, or upconversion processes, and UV excitonic or crystalline-matrix excitation.
