Abstract

Experiments with diode single-end-pumped Tm3+:YAlO3 lasers show that the best power performance near room temperature is obtained with 1.5% Tm3+:YAlO3 crystals. Fluorescence and lifetime measurements were also performed to investigate the influence of doping concentration.
