The Sr1-xNdyLax-yMgxAl12-xO19 Hexa-aluminate crystals are investigated for 4F3/2→4I9/2 900 nm laser emission. Spectral characteristics and models of three types of non-equivalent Nd3+ centers, the cationic distribution types and optimal compositions for laser emission are presented.
