High fixed diffraction efficiency in LiNbO3:Ce:Cu crystal using optimal switching from holographic recording to fixing

Abstract

Oscillatory diffraction is observed in LiNbO3:Ce:Cu crystal during holographic recording. Optimal switching from recording step to fixing step is proposed which leads theoretically to fixed diffraction of 100%. Experimental supports are also given.
