Generation of sub-100 fs pulses from a 200 MHz Yb-fiber laser

Abstract

A passively-modelocked Yb-fiber laser generating sub-100 fs pulses at a fundamental repetition rate of 200 MHz is reported, the highest to date. Practical and fundamental limitations to higher repetition rate fiber lasers are discussed.
