Efficient yellow light generation by frequency doubling an 1150-nm Yb:silica fiber system

Abstract

An 89-mW, 1150-nm Yb-fiber oscillator was amplified to 310 mW. The oscillator output was frequency doubled to produce 40 mW of yellow. We also present our progress in long period grating design for ASE suppression.
