Abstract

We present laser characterization results of a high-power longitudinally diode-pumped Yb3+-doped Y2O3 ceramic laser. Slope efficiency as high as 44.5%, quasi-CW power in excess of 26 W and acousto-optically Q-switched operation are reported.
