Solid-state laser-driven free-electron based coherent attosecond radiation sources

Abstract

We propose a free-electron based attosecond coherent X-ray source powered by a laser-driven particle accelerator capable of producing sub-optical cycle electron pulses. The design parameters for the device are established by the one-dimensional FEL model.
