High-energy pulse generation using stretcher-free fiber nonlinear amplifiers

Abstract

We demonstrate the generation of high quality 74-fs pulses with pulse energy of 380 nJ from polarization-maintaining ytterbium-doped fiber nonlinear amplification systems by operating them beyond the gain bandwidth limit.
