Generation and stability characterization of fiber-based difference frequency generation tuned through controlled soliton self-frequency-shifting

Abstract

We present a soliton-tuned source of mid-infrared (MIR) ultrafast laser pulses. Characterization of the source stability is presented through measurements of intensity noise and timing jitter of the pulses used for frequency conversion.
