Abstract
We demonstrate a Q-switched fiber laser system delivering 20 ns-pulses with pulse energies of up to 22 mJ, 110W of average power and excellent beam quality. This result was enabled by employing an Ytterbium-doped Large Pitch Fiber with a hole-to-hole distance of 75 µm as booster amplifier. At 110 W of average output power this LPF possessed a measured mode field diameter of 101 µm.
