Abstract

UV-induced refractive index has been measured in low-loss phosphosilicate optical fibers in a wide range of irradiation doses. UV-induced absorption spectra have also been measured in the range from 0.2 to 5 µm at different doses. A correlation between IR OH-related absorption growth and photoinduced refractive index has been revealed.
