Bragg grating synthesis for design and characterisation

Abstract

Techniques exist to synthesise gratings from reflection spectra and group delay characteristics. The synthesis can be used to design gratings with particular spectra, or to characterise imperfections in the apodisation and chirp of fabricated gratings.
