Abstract

We describe an all-coupler implementation of a polarization-diverse optical frequency domain reflectometer (OFDR). We measure the complex transfer function of an FBG by projecting a measurement field onto two orthogonal reference fields and show that a vector sum of the resultant signal is independent of the polarization state of the measurement field.
