Abstract

The theoretically proposed add-drop multiplexer based on antisymmetric grating coupling is realised using an all-fiber geometry. Conventional grating assisted couplers are shown to exhibit two high-reflection bands, whereas antisymmetric grating couplers have a single reflection band. The latter feature improves the filter characteristics substantially.
