Abstract

A comparative study on the Type IIA photosensitivity of a B/Ge-codoped optical fibre is performed using 5ps, 500fs and 120fs, 248nm laser radiation. Index modulation curves and annealing behaviour of fabricated Bragg gratings is presented.
