New Insights into Volume Grating Formed in Pr3+-Doped Silicate Glasses Using FWM and x-scan Techniques

Abstract

The effective size of the grating region in Pr3+-doped silicate glass was found to be smaller than the write-beams size. This was confirmed by the x-scan technique. FWM and x-scan result produced consistent Δn values.
