An Electro-Optically Tunable Bragg Reflector in a Liquid Crystal Waveguide

Abstract

A distributed feedback guided-wave device is proposed and analyzed numerically in liquid crystals with a tuning range exceeding 100 nm. The performance of the structure is evaluated, demonstrating an efficient Bragg reflector with voltage-tunable resonance.
