Optical Property Estimation in Highly Attenuating Tissue

Abstract

A reflectance-based technique for measurement of tissue optical properties was investigated. Simulations and reflectance measurements of tissue phantoms were used to calibrate inverse models. Accurate estimates of phantom and ex vivo tissue optical properties were achieved.
