Autofluorescence spectroscopy of normal and malignant esophageal epithelium cells.

Abstract

Autofluorescence of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and normal esophageal epithelial cells are compared. Spectral distribution is similar but a statistical significant difference is observed between the average intensity of the different cell types.
