Evaluation of endogenous fluorescence and SHG patterns of neoplastic lung tissue with multiphoton microscopy

Abstract

The two-photon excited endogenous fluorescence and SHG of alveolar tissue are determined in ex vivo murine samples. Morphological and spectral contrast is demonstrated between normal alveoli, inflammation sites with macrophage infiltration and neoplastic lung tissue.
