Abstract

Vernier-Tuned Distributed Bragg Reflector (VT-DBR) semiconductor diodes were initially designed for telecommunications applications. This paper describes VT-DBR laser adaptations for OCT at 1550 nm and 1300nm. 200 kHz sweep rates and coherence length are key OCT contributions.
