Raman Spectroscopy Sensor for Surgical Robotics – Instrumentation and Tissue Differentiation Algorithm

Abstract

A fiber Raman probe based sensor is designed to be integrated into a surgical robot. The chemical information obtained from this sensor would assist tissue margin detection and surgical guidance during laparoscopic surgical procedures.
