Photoacoustic Thermal Diffusion Flowmetry with Detection of Flow Direction

Abstract

A photoacoustic thermal diffusion method enables flow direction detection. Judiciously designed asymmetric measurement yielded different responses for opposite flows. Experimental and theoretical results show qualitative agreement with the known flow.
