5-ALA-induced PpIX fluorescence emission spectrum in low grade gliomas and in the infiltrative component of glioblastomas

Abstract

5-ALA-induced PpIX fluorescence in glioma biopsies showed two-peaked emission spectrum due to multiple photochemical states of PpIX. Results indicate that new measured parameters could bring new insights for evaluating the infiltrative component.
