Three-dimensional photoacoustic imaging through scattering media

Abstract

We demonstrate three-dimensional photoacoustic imaging behind a scattering material by scanning an absorbing object through an optimized focus. We optimize the wavefront to create a focus using the photoacoustic effect as feedback.
